Simona & Darius | Romanian Wedding | Queen Elizabeth Park | Sutton Place | Gastown

I have been looking forward to shooting Simona & Darius’ wedding since last Summer when they booked us.  They love the creative, outside-the-box shots, as do I!  Thus, when they scheduled a little night shoot in Gastown as a quick break during their reception, I was through the moon :).  We also did their engagement shoot at Barnet Marine Park last Fall.  Some brides and grooms feel like they are going through the motions or let the stress of the day ruin it for them.  Not these two.  I barely needed to even pose them because they were just so into each other and it was a joy to see.

They had a beautiful, traditional Romanian ceremony, did their mid-day shoot at Queen Elizabeth Park, had a stunning reception at Sutton Place, and then a mini evening shoot in Gastown.  We even squeezed in a sparkler shot for them because they really wanted one.  It wasn’t dark enough outside for it, but we convinced the hotel to give us access to an empty ball room to make it happen.  We did it in ONE take which I was super thankful for because I was suspiciously eyeing the sprinklers in the roof the whole time….  We were careful, but it still made me nervous to do it inside!

It was really hard to choose only a few photos to represent their day, but here they are!  Congrats, you two!

About
This little blog is an extension of who I am. I'm an introvert who loves to create and write. However, I'm also loud, tend to over share, and am a type-A personality in the extreme. I'm a little pensive and can be a lot sarcastic. This is both a space where I can share glimpses into my business and the photo shoots I do, and also my personal space to just write about whatever is on my heart and share photos from our daily lives. So grab a cup of tea, and come stay for a while :)
