This sweet family and I have a long history.  They befriended me when I first moved to the coast 9 years ago this summer and didn’t know anyone other than Nick.  They let me practice on them when I was first learning photography and had yet to start a business.  And the dad and I even worked together in software for a couple of years when I trained him up to replace me at my old job as I switched to photography full time.  We often joke that him and I are the male and female versions of the same person while his wife and my husband are super similar as well.  When all four of us manage to clear our schedules (usually only a couple of times a year) and hang out, it’s one of my favourite things.

I have photographed all four of their children as newborns.  Baby A who was born while my oldest Micah was still in my womb.  Baby B who is only a few months apart in age from my youngest, Levi.  And now babies C & C while again, our next child is on his/her way.  I secretly also wanted this pregnancy to be twins, but my husband will tell you with much relief that we just have one inside me right now.  However, not so the case with my dear friend’s third pregnancy!!  They welcomed a third little girl and a little boy to their family May 1st and I got the privilege of documenting these red-headed beauties on Mother’s Day <3.

About
This little blog is an extension of who I am. I'm an introvert who loves to create and write. However, I'm also loud, tend to over share, and am a type-A personality in the extreme. I'm a little pensive and can be a lot sarcastic. This is both a space where I can share glimpses into my business and the photo shoots I do, and also my personal space to just write about whatever is on my heart and share photos from our daily lives. So grab a cup of tea, and come stay for a while :)
