I remember first meeting this family almost 10 years ago now. I was shooting my very first wedding as the lead photographer under my own company’s banner, and they were the hired videographer team. Somehow, they also ended up working with my husband in the video industry on and off, and over the years we became friends. We are in a season of life with our kids where we don’t get to sit and visit as often as we would wish, but we cross paths at least once a year for family photos and every so often on the job. This family is an inspiration. I love the way their minds work. How they search for authenticity, simplicity, and purpose. We started at pretty parks, but over the years, we have transitioned to doing their annual shoot in and around their city home. Embracing where they are rooted and where their family grows. It’s so perfectly them.
