When this mama contacted me to let me know she wanted to surprise her husband with a photoshoot of her kids, I was super pumped! I adore that idea, but there was no way I wasn’t going to get her in the frame as well ;).

I was also excited because older kids meant they could stay up long enough to catch the sunset along the ocean and we could do our shoot a little later in the evening. We got the “must haves” out of the way first and then talked and walked while her kids explored the shore. As they played in the water, and the sky burned down to a fiery red, I snapped away. Weddings launched my career, but families will always have my heart.
