I have learned the hard way to never cancel a shoot until last minute due to weather on the Coast. I still remember postponing a shoot a couple of hours before because there was a hail storm a few years back, and then 30 minutes before the scheduled shoot time, the skies cleared and we had one of the most amazing sunsets. If families are flexible, we play chicken with the rain. We got spit on a little bit during this shoot, but overall stayed dry and got the most amazing stormy backdrop for their pics!

A few of my favourites of an awesome family that puts up with my noisy boys on the regular, shares their snow boots (do you know how much children’s boots cost for the total of like 6 snow days a year we get?!), and whose son hopefully did NOT go home pronouncing “shark” the way Micah does after a playdate. Don’t ask me how my child gets the f-bomb out of the word shark, but he’s just a little too happy to sing “Baby f***” to our friends, lol!
