Andreea and Colin said their “I do’s” on May 21st this year at one of my favourite venues – Morgan Creek Golf Course. But before that, they did another one of my favourite wedding-day things! They arranged to have a “first look”. When I married my husband going on seven years ago now, the traditionalist in me won out and we saw each other for the first time as I came down the aisle on my father’s arm. However, if I could wind back the clock and change that, I would. There is something so special, in my mind, about having that moment be private, raw, and real, and the introvert in me would way rather have done it away from the eyes of a hundred people! Andreea and Colin did just this, so Nick and I put on our long lenses and evaporated into the trees to give them their privacy but also still capture the emotion of the moment for them.
After that, we met back up with the bridal party and headed around to a few different places, for as many varied photographs as possible, including Stewart Farm, Crescent Beach, and Semiahmoo Shopping Center before heading over to Morgan Creek for the Ceremony and Reception. We also used that gorgeous venue to do a little night shooting before wrapping up the evening. Shooting this gorgeous couple was awesome, and we’re so happy for them to begin their lives as Mr. & Mrs. Congrats, you two!
