R. Extended Family Session | Port Coquitlam | Coquitlam Family Photographer

This weekend I got up in the middle of the night to nurse my youngest when I saw a message on my phone.  I went to check and met this lovely family searching for someone to do their family photos the next day as their photographer no longer could and everyone was already fully coordinated.  It so happened that I had just enough time between shoots to slot them in for a short session the next afternoon.  We were two mamas at midnight coordinating and making it happen, haha!

I don’t do a lot of extended family sessions as my photography is more candid in nature and I like to take the time with each small family unit to really get to know them and let the magic unfold naturally in front of the lens.  However, I love that I get to meet so many sweet people and little ones all at the same time when I do take on larger sessions and, honestly, after years in the wedding industry, wrangling large groups still feels like second nature to me.  That being said, my favourite photos are still those little “in between” moments where people are just loving on each other <3.

Hi! I’m Laura, a coffee-loving, outgoing introvert with a passion for motherhood and photography. This blog is an extension of who I am. I’m a mommy to three little boys, and I love to create and write. I’m also loud, tend to over share, and am a type-A personality in the extreme. I’m a little pensive and can be a lot sarcastic.  I believe that motherhood is something more than just to be survived! This is both a space where I share glimpses into my business and the photo shoots I do, and also my personal space to just write about whatever is on my heart. So grab a cup of coffee, come stay for a while and let’s get to know each other. 🙂
