Last weekend, we waiting in our cars with umbrellas cheering on the sun. I had to edit a few water droplets off at the beginning, but the day cleared up JUST in time, which was a relief because that greenhouse behind them doesn’t open to the public until April 1st! These two had a private first look at Sendall Gardens in Langley, followed by wedding party photos, couple portraits, and then off to the Golf Course for an indoor ceremony. Despite the gorgeous sun, it was VERY chilly outside so indoors was a smart way to go. My favourite parts of this ceremony were them having a flower MAN – the best – and the emotion in Shirley’s face throughout. The one moment during the wedding where the photographer in me went, “oooohhhh kay….”, is when I was last minute informed we were doing a full group shot – INSIDE and I wasn’t allowed to move any decor to get back far enough to make it happen. Thankfully, LR’s panorama feature and I are good buddies, so I had a quick idea to take the shot in three images and stitch together afterwards. I just told everyone I was gonna take three images in a row (demonstrating with my arms how it was going to go) and to NOT MOVE between them. LR did it FLAWLESSLY! Next we did some quick family portraits outside while they flipped the ballroom over and then enjoyed a wonderful reception together. And, of course, you know I had to pull them outside for a quick night shoot before I packed up <3.
