I once was interviewed by Clickin Moms, and they asked me why I didn’t choose to specialize in just one type of photography, whether that was newborns, weddings, families, or something else. My answer was that, in my mind, they were all too connected. I am in the business of “people” just as much as I am in the business of photos. I do what I do because of the relationships it builds, and I treasure those.

I love meeting a newly engaged couple for the first time and being a part of their big (or small!) wedding day. I am thrilled when I receive the, “Guess what, we’re expecting!” email, and I get to document their newest family member(s). And it is an honour and privilege to watch my families grow over the years. I have rejoiced with my clients, I have mourned with my clients (when unspeakable loss happens), and I have sat in my living room surrounded by chaos with those clients as our children play and we do life together outside of just a professional relationship.

Laura and Alex are some of those clients turned friends. I documented their engagement in 2015, their wedding in 2016, and last weekend I had the privilege of documenting their daughter’s baptism. I am really struggling to narrow it down to just my favourites for this post, but I will try!
