Wedding Invitation Recommendation

As a wedding photographer, I’ve been to a lot of weddings – like A LOT.  I always tell my couples to not feel shy to reach out to me if they need help finding other vendors.  It feels like this massive world of wedding, but there are great communities within it.  Vendors become friends, collaborate, recommend each other, etc.  That being said, Basic Invite, a wedding invitation company reached out to me to ask if I would collaborate with them and share their product, and I happily agreed.  So, let me introduce you to them a little bit!

One of my favourite things about their company is that give you Custom Samples!  It’s one of the few websites that allows customers to order a printed sample of their actual invitation before they place their final order. They can see the paper quality and how it will print, and make sure the card is perfect.  As a photographer, I’ve become a bit of a print snob and I never want to invest a chunk of money unless I can see how it’s going to turn out because… trust me… I’ve made that mistake before.

They have sooooo many choices – over 40 different coloured envelopes to match up with your wedding colours and personalize your day before it even begins.  And as much as my favourite part of when I send out Christmas cards to my clients is licking a million envelopes (Jk – it’s gross and I use water haha), these invites are peel and seal so they can be closed quickly and securely.  Also, foil cards are available in gold, silver, and rose gold. Customers can choose flat or raised foil on all of Basic Invite’s foil designs.

My second most favourite part of sending out mass amounts of mail is trying to hunt down people’s snail mail addresses.  It’s a hunt people.  The struggle is real.  But Basic Invite offers an address capturing service that allows customers to share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other social media to request their friends and family’s addresses. The addresses are stored in the customer’s account and can be selected during the design process, and they have recipient address printing at no cost on all card orders.

Last but not least, they have a sale on right now til the end of the month.  You can get 15% off your order with the coupon code:  15FF51

But don’t take my word for it – go shop around for yourself.  Here are their wedding placecards  and their wedding program templates. You an also check them out on social media:

And last, but not least! Don’t forget to schedule time for an engagement session if you want to include an extra personalized touch to your invites <3

About

Hi! I’m Laura, a coffee-loving, outgoing introvert with a passion for motherhood and photography. This blog is an extension of who I am. I’m a mommy to three little boys, and I love to create and write. I’m also loud, tend to over share, and am a type-A personality in the extreme. I’m a little pensive and can be a lot sarcastic.  I believe that motherhood is something more than just to be survived! This is both a space where I share glimpses into my business and the photo shoots I do, and also my personal space to just write about whatever is on my heart. So grab a cup of coffee, come stay for a while and let’s get to know each other. 🙂
